How Heavy vs. Light Goods Affect Logistics Cost (and Why to Calculate It at Selection)

1. Understand volumetric weight

Volumetric weight = length x width x height (cm) / 6000 (coefficient varies slightly by channel). Bulky-light goods have large volumetric weight and are charged by it. Measure dimensions at selection and you will know.

2. Heavy goods favor lines

For high actual-weight items, lines or commercial lines are often friendlier than packets; for bulky-light, compare is compression worth it (vacuum seal, repack).

3. Calculate shipping share of price at selection
